| BIO:
Dianne Bugash is a native Washingtonian who comes from a family of artists. She completed the fine arts program at the Corcoran School of Art and continued her studies on scholarship at The American University.
Bugash is an active member of the art community. For five years, she was a Docent for the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. In this capacity, Bugash developed her interest and skills in serving as an arts advocate to the general community and began lecturing various interest groups on the creative process. She also participated in the outreach program to public schools in Montgomery County, MD. In 1994, Dianne research and designed a “Doodling Towards Art” workshop for adult non-artists and continues to promote involvement in the arts. She was awarded a residency at Rockville Arts Place in 1998. She is on the faculty of the Corcoran College of Art and Design, and Montgomery College, School of Art and Design, painting to adults. As a member of the Golden Acrylics Working Artists Program, she gives lectures and workshops on how to use Acrylics.
Dianne is a painter with a focus on symbolism, color and storytelling. Her artistic endeavors have carried her to experimentation in drawing, papermaking and photo collaging. She has exhibited widely in Maryland and the Washington, D.C. area as well as nationally, and is represented by the Light Street Gallery in Baltimore, MD. Her work is in both private and corporate collections.
